But if you are reading this article a few months after its publication then it might be worth double-checking this. On top of this, the restaurant is currently not acting as a buffet due to current health and safety measures. With that being said, it’s a known fact in the theme park universe that pizza sold inside a park is generally of a lower standard than what you would normally expect to get from a restaurant, and it’s usually overpriced too.įrom our experience, Explorers Pizza Pasta Buffet is no different from what we’ve come to expect. Some readers may have this restaurant as their number 1 and that’s absolutely fine. Before we get into it, we want to make it clear that this is obviously our opinion. Thank goodness for the other lady who was extremely nice and we didn't let it ruin our lovely day at alton towers.First up on our list is the Explorer’s Pizza Pasta Buffet. The waitress and the manager spent a lot of time chatting together which looked like it wasn't pleasant things they were saying, very unprofessional he should be setting an example to hes staff. The salad bar was a mess with the food all mixed and all over the side, the floor must have had something spilt as we stuck to it and the toilets were even more scary. Oh boy I toke one look and my stomach turned at the look of it, it was cold and did not look editable at all, the kids of course didn't care and tucked in, but at £12 a head I asked for a refund and sat appalled watching my kids eating what didn't even look like pizza. We came in at 5 and they were closing at 6 but the waitress was still looking very unhappy and went to check with management if we could come, when I clearly stated we had been informed earlier that you can arrive up to 5 minutes before 6 she showed 6 of us to a table for 4! We said we can't fit on that and moved ourselfs to a diff table, thank god then a lovely lady came to take payment and then we went to get our pizza.
